How to fall in love with a Language

Learning a language that is not ours may seem intimidating at first right? but learning this would definitely help opening up tons of amazing job opportunities. Yes, the journey of learning a new language is not that easy, but with brain power and technology, it can be interesting and fun. Here are some tips that would help you learn a new language.

1. Begin learning- Using your chosen method or range of methods, follow the lead of their lessons and get stuck into the learning. Create a regular routine and aim to learn at least 10 new words of vocabulary a day.

2. Use tactics that help the language to stick- There are lots of things you can do to make learning the language easier. You can start simply by focusing on common words of the language, learn the grammar and syntax, carefully read the sections on grammar usage and pronunciation. and wherever possible, repeat things aloud. This helps to attune you to the sounds and also helps them to stay in your memory.

3. Listen to internet radio broadcasts in the target language (BBC World Service is a great place to start).

4. Read your daily news in the other language. Identify a topic that you regularly read about Find online newspaper sections or blogs that cover that topic in the language you're learning.

5. Meet up with some native speakers either in person or in chat rooms. - The only way to learn a language is to immerse yourself, so get immersing!

6. Schedule your sessions to learn the language. 15-30 minutes a day is a lot better than one big session per week.

7. Teach it.- When you're with your friends, say simple phrases from your new language and then tell what they mean.

8. Sometimes it also helps to learn a language with a partner- Find someone who is willing to learn the language with you.

Crimes are very rampant in our society. Almost every day news about rapes, robbery and snatching have become a daily feature when we glance at newspapers or even flashed in the television. And yes! even though our country needs to exercise safety laws, it is still very important for us as individuals especially girls to take care and be able to defend ourselves if someone or any of these harms will attack us. Regardless of our strength, or even our size, everyone can learn some very effective self defense tips, Here's how to prepare yourselves.

1. Mentally prepare yourself. If someone attacks you, stay calm and think of a plan. (Like how to get out of the wrist of the attacker)

2.We girls are very particular of growing our nails right? Well, we could actually use them to scratch the attacker.

3. Be Aware of your surroundings. Pay attention to what's going around you. (Like if your in a public place, don't talk on your phone or even use it, snatchers may attack you )

4. Don’t look like a victim. Stay firm and act masculine.

The key to improving your personality is changing behaviors to reinforce good personality traits and eliminate the negative ones. If you really want to improve your personality, here are some tips that will help you improve yourself.

I guess one thing that we people have in common is that we all like to live life to the fullest. And probably thinking about traveling around the world without spending a single centavo, yet that's very impossible. Most of us also don't have unlimited travel budgets am I right?. But travelling doesn't have to be expensive anyway, to help make your trip more affordable here are simple ways to avoid paying too much when traveling. 

1. Plan ahead of time (Where, when, etc. )

2. Travel at the cheapest times. 

3. If possible, don’t take what you don’t need. The extra weight will cost you when you’re boarding the plane. 

4. Avoid eating in a touristy restaurants. Instead enjoy a nice picnic instead of eating out.

5. If possible, rent an apartment rather than staying in a hotel. You could pay less more than that.

6. Plan out each day so that you will know how and where your money will be going. 

7. When it comes to transportation, travel like locals, or use public transport as possible. 

8. Walk as much as you can, you can experience more things and encounter lots of people. Not only that, you could also get a real feel of the atmosphere of the place. 

9. Avoid buying lots of souvenirs. It could only add on to the weight cost when you're about to board the plane. 

10. Be practical. By this you can save and spend your money by just buying necessary things.

W A N D E R L U S T

Our world is such a vast and wonderful place with different cultures, people and environment to explore. And yes! I'm one of those people who wants to travel around the world. When I finished my studies and get a stable job, then that's the time I would start my journey. I want my travel life to be spontaneous and I would like to be with my family as and when it happen. However, I have here certain destinations that fascinate me for different reasons. These are places that I fall in love with or lets just say these are my dream destinations. So, without any further, let me show you those destinations that I absolutely want to travel.

Paris is actually number one in my bucket list. Everyone wants to go to Paris and that includes me haha. There I want to eat delicious French cheese with wine in front of the Blinking Eiffel tower , go shopping in the galleries, eat chocolates and make myself comfortable and imagining a quietly playing accordion.  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 

Next is Hawaii!! I’d love to spend a good amount of time exploring the Hawaiian islands. I imagined myself waking up each day to gorgeous beaches and tropical surroundings in Hawaii.

Then Norway, I want to visit there for its fascinating beauty. It seems to be a country that’s a storehouse of natural treasures and yes! i soo want to go there. By looking the picture itself, the landscapes look so gorgeous and divine.

Ohw yeah Morocco baby! Haha. I really got attracted to its desert and I want to know what it feels like riding in one of those camels haha. I know Morocco is beautiful in its own unique way but more than that I want too go and discover every beautiful places in there.

Next is Korea!! aside from its beautiful and breathtaking spots, well I would also like to see my future husband Soong Jong Ki there (From the movie Descendants of the Sun) haha. I really want to see him personally and take a picture with him.

Lastly is Venice :) Venice is said to be a place full of beautiful architecture, gondolas, canals, and yeah! pizza my favorite. I really want to visit one of the world’s most romantic cities or let's say the "city of love Venice”

"Why I love Philippines?"

                 I love Philippines simply because it's the only place that I can call home. It's the place where I was born and the only place I want to live with. The Philippines is such an amazing country. It is hard to pin point what I love about it but given the chance to name a few things, it would be the culture, the charismatic people and yes! the beauty and the wonders of it. There's soo much to love about my country like the close family ties and camaraderie among neighbors that I guess only Filipinos have that. Not only that, the Philippines is one of those countries that we could spend a lifetime traveling to and unable to see everything. The beautiful landscapes, beaches, falls, hot and cold springs, forests, marine sanctuaries, islands and everything! :). Yes some places may become touristy but just walk around the corner and you can find the true beauty of this amazing place. My country, my Philippines. :)

Tourist Destinations

Apo Island

It has a wide array of corals and marine life. The Negros Oriental Marine Conservation program in its Marine Park has kept the underwater wonders in excellent condition. Apo Island can be reached from Malatapay, Zamboanguita (27.8 km) by a 35-minute motorized outrigger ride.




Sand Bar in Manjuyod City

Stroll along the 7-kilometer stretch of the white sand surrounded with pristine blue water sand bar.  The white sand island can be accessed via a 15-minute boat ride from Capiñahan Wharf in the South Bais Bay, Bais City.



Niludhan Falls in Bayawan City

With just two and a half hours from Dumaguete tp Bayawan City, you can see a waterfall stunner.Niludhan falls features a wide cascade plunging down to jade pool, surrounded with verdant greens. Reaching it may be a bit of a tiring because of the unpaved roads but surely you will forget all the efforts though, when you see it.



Dolphin Watching in Bais City

 Described as one of the most successful dolphin-and-whale watching operations in the country, the cruise takes off from Port Capiñahan every 8:00 AM and traverses the bay towards Tañon Strait which is acknowledged to have one of the biggest concentrations of cetaceans in the world. It is one of the most daring place you could ever see.



Casaroro Falls in Valencia City

Valencia’s elevation at 715 feet above sea level has its large amount of cool climate. Trekkers access Casaroro Falls with three hundred concrete steps which descend into a scenic site surrounded by steep rock walls where a single column of sparkling water plunges almost a hundred feet into a chilly swimming caldera.



Mabinay Cave 

 The prevalence of limestone rock and extensive karst phenomena secures Mabinay’s claim to being the Cave Town of Negros Oriental. According to the locals, there are over 400 caves honeycombing Mabinay’s lower regions. You can enjoy the very prestigious sight in here.



Balinsasayao Lake in Sibulan

The Balinsasayao Lake is located in the town of Sibulan and  traveled less than an hour from Dumaguete City but with the rugged terrain the travel time can be longer. Lake Balinsasayao is 300m above sea level of a dormant volcano. It's twin is Lake Danao. It is bounded by abundant green vegetation and the bird's sounds echo in the air.
Pulang bato in Valencia

Pulangbato Falls is located in the Ocoy Valley in the town of Valencia Negros Oriental. It's arge cascade of seemingly reddish water finds its way into some unique shaped falls all the way down the mountain
